The latest versions of Skype make it easier to send and receive messages quickly

What you need to know

  • Skype Insider Preview just received updates on Android, iOS, and Windows 10.
  • The Android update brings the option to listen to and send messages through Android Auto.
  • The Windows 10 update adds in-line reply to notifications.

Skype Insiders have some new features to play with following a set of updates. Skype Insider Preview was recently updated for Android, iOS, and Windows 10. Now, Android users can have messages read out loud through Android Auto and answer messages through voice commands. People on iOS can customize their camera background following the recent update, and Windows 10 users can reply to messages through notifications.

Here’s the complete changelog from Microsoft:

What’s New?

  • Skype with Android auto? Yes! Let’s have your messages read out loud and answer them via voice commands while driving.
  • Boring background, Part 2: this time you can change your camera background even on your iPhone and iPad. Available on iPhone 7, iPad 2018, iPod Touch 2019 and iOS 12 or later
  • Skype for Windows 10 version 15 improvements: adding an in-line reply to notifications and support for automatic MSA login.

What’s fixed?

  • We’ve fixed even more notifications bugs in Skype for Android and joining meetings using Meet Now should be also much smoother now.
