New Achievements for players to strive for.
What you need to know
- Minecraft Dungeons is about to receive its second DLC, Creeping Winter, on September 8.
- The last DLC, Jungle Awakens, didn’t add any new Achievements to the game, leaving players worried.
- A team member from Mojang Studios just casually confirmed that Creeping Winter will add Achievements.
- We don’t know what the Achievements are yet, only that there will be some new ones.
Minecraft Dungeons is posed to take on its second major expansion in the coming weeks, with the arrival of the Creeping Winter DLC. However, one question that has concerned players is whether or not Creeping Winter would add any new Achievements to the limited number Minecraft Dungeons already has. There was extra concern after the Jungle Awakens DLC did not add any new Achievements to the game at all.

While we still can’t say how many Achievements will be added, or what they’ll entail, we can now confirm that Creeping Winter will add some new challenges for players. David Nisshagen, Executive Producer for Minecraft Dungeons at Mojang Studios, took to Twitter and very casually confirmed in a response to an Xbox tweet that Achievements are coming.
We can’t say more than that right now, but we’re excited to find out about these Achievements and much more when the update drops on September 8, 2020, along with a free update and a physical release of the game (available for pre-order from Best Buy).
