I’ve used the same pair of headphones for a couple of years now: Bose’s QuietComfort (QC) 35 Series II headphones. They’re literally perfect, especially for use in loud environments like airplanes or trains — not that many of us are traveling these days, unfortunately.

The one thing that’s not exactly ideal about the Bose QC 35 II headphones? They ain’t cheap. But today they’re a lot cheaper than they were yesterday. This Prime Day deal cuts the price of these excellent cups to just $199.99, from $349.99, or by 43 percent. That’s a legit steal and one of the best Prime Day deals I’ve seen so far this year. Just a few months ago, we were raving about a deal that cut a refurbished set of these headphones to $200. These ones are brand-spankin’ new.

I know, $200 is still a lot for a pair of headphones, but I can honestly say they’re worth it. The active noise cancellation (ANC) tech on these babies is unparalleled, at least in my admittedly-non-audiophile experience. The QC 35 II’s are super comfortable; you could wear them all day. They’re available in three colors: black, silver, and “triple midnight,” which is a funny way of saying dark blue. And though they’re not the latest and greatest from Bose — the $380 Noise Cancelling Wireless Bluetooth 700 Headphones are — they’re so good I’m not even compelled to upgrade, which is unusual for me.

You will not regret pulling the trigger on this Prime Day deal.
