The BenQ EX2780Q is a 27-inch PC monitor with gaming in mind. It has a boosted 2560×1440 (QHD) resolution — best paired up with a graphics card (GPU) in the mid-to-high range — to make your games look crisp and far sharper than 1080p. That’s paired up with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate and 5ms GtG response time. AMD FreeSync Premium comes standard for those with Radeon GPUs, but it’s also compatible with NVIDIA GPUs for less screen tearing.

The picture is stunning thanks to DisplayHDR400 and HDRi, which boosts clarity, contrast, and color. If you’re using this monitor to watch media between games, you should be pleased. Connecting your devices won’t be much of a problem either thanks to dual HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB-C ports on the back. There are also some built-in speakers if you’d rather not use your headset.

It’s all contained in a slim chassis with minimal bezel, held up by a slim stand that allows for tilt adjustments. A remote control is included for quick settings changes without reaching behind the monitor for the built-in joystick.

This monitor’s price has fluctuated, but it has rarely dropped to the $400 price we’re seeing for Prime Day. If you’ve been waiting to upgrade your display to keep up with improvements to your gaming PC, this is a great deal on a great monitor.
