We really like the HP Reverb G2 virtual reality headset. It’s one of the best VR headsets, is great for Windows Mixed Reality, and it has some fantastic features. A week ago we shared a pretty good deal from HP that featured it for $100 off. That deal is still active, but HP’s Walmart store has it beat right now with $200 off the price for a grand total of $399. Up until recently you could only find the Reverb G2 going for around $600 or more like it is on Amazon. You truly won’t find this price anywhere else, and if Walmart’s sales end when Amazon’s Prime Day sales end, so you only have a couple more hours to take advantage of it.

HP worked with Valve to product lenses and speakers that greatly improve on the first generation. Get full spatial audio and LCD panels with crisp, clear resolution. Flexible material provides a custom fit for everyone.

When we wrote our review of the HP Reverb G2, we gave it a Recommended badge and 4 stars out of 5. Cale Hunt said the Reverb G2 “boasts the clearest visuals I’ve experienced in VR, with an audio system that significantly adds to the overall package. The headset is lightweight and comfortable to wear for long periods, with a tight enough fit that there’s no outside light bleed. It’s just a shame the controllers can’t keep up with the headset.”

The visuals are so good because HP worked with Valve to get them just right. The lenses have a combined resolution of 4320×2160. HP even developed an RGB stripe for the LCD displays to help with the “screen door” effect. The end result is an amazing user experience with an audio system that boasts significant upgrades over the first generation. Get immersed in your favorite new video games as you experience them in a whole new way.

This is a great headset for Windows Mixed Reality, but thanks to HP’s work with Valve it also integrates with SteamVR. That means an entirely new library of content you will have access to.

Virtual reality headsets usually need a pretty good PC to go with them. Grab some Prime Day deals on PC parts before the event ends.
